The iconic heavy metal mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap is getting a long-awaited sequel. The first official trailer for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues has arrived, with the film set to hit theaters on September 12 via Bleecker Street. Reuniting director Rob Reiner with stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer, the sequel follows fictional metal legends Spinal Tap as they return for one final concert in New Orleans, booked after a cancellation by Stormy Daniels. Reiner reprises his role as documentarian Marty DiBergi. The film also sees the return of Fran Drescher as publicist Bobbi Flekman, along with cameos from Elton John and Paul McCartney. New cast members include John Michael Higgins, Jason Acuña, Don Lake, Paul Shaffer, and more.
