Fans in San Francisco got to see The Dillinger Escape Plan perform with Faith No More’s Mike Patton (who sang on the EP Irony Is a Dead Scene while the band was in between singers). But fans in New York City this past Saturday (November 19) were treated to another surprise, as original singer Dimitri Minakakis joined The Dillinger Escape Plan onstage. Minakakis, who sang on the band’s first two EPs and debut album Calculating Infinity before leaving in 2000, hopped played with the band on “Sunshine The Werewolf” and “43% Burnt.” If you thought it was cool to see current vocalist Greg Puciato trading vocals with Patton, then diehard DEP fans will likely flip when they see Minakais and Puciato singing together.
You can watch the band playing “Sunshine The Werewolf” with Minakakis in NYC above [starting at around the 5:45 mark], and them performing “43% Burnt” together after the jump.
