Video premiere: Post Pulse are at “The Gates”

Posted by on May 8, 2017

We remember Sam Roon for his past band, NYC’s Hung. He’s resurfaced in not just a new band, Post Pulse, but also in a new country – Finland. The band’s been around for a year, and melds American and Finnish styles of death metal. From the sound of what we’ve heard so far, you’ll be hearing a lot more about the band after their debut album, Halls of the Damned, is released. A concept album about a man’s struggle that starts off with him standing outside a metal asylum, we’re proud to premiere Halls of the Damned‘s album opener, “The Gates.” Here’s what the band has to say about the song and it’s premiere:

“Halls of the Damned is an album that brings together all the early material of our new band and “The Gates” was the very first song we wrote.  This track took many different forms over the last year and the result is something we are kind of in love with.  It’s the right amount of aggression and rhythm together to make for a really fun song to perform and this is why we wanted to do a performance-style video.  We invite you into our studio to see what it’s like in a Post Pulse practice – we are full force, all the time.

Special shout out to the team at Metal Insider for honoring Post Pulse by premiering the video!  Thanks so much for the support!”
Halls of the Damned will be released on May 26th. You can find out more about it on their website.
