Hailing from Orange County, CA, Cerebellion has teamed up with Metal Insider to unveil a video for the song “Until I Can Breathe.” The track is taken from their upcoming EP, Something You Can Say, out September 21st, which was mixed, mastered and co-produced by Logan Mader (Gojira, Five Finger Death Punch). In reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, the EP showcases the overall financial and relationship strains many have experienced. The clip was filmed, directed, and edited by Ian Mora of Smash Standard Cinema as it follows a story of a woman grieving the loss of her husband from a deep sea fishing accident.

Vocalist Joe Arnold comments on the video:

“Ian created a work of art with this video. This is the fourth music video we’ve done with him and it is by far the best. I was completely floored when I saw the first edit. As cliche as this is, I got goosebumps and just thought, wow, I can’t wait for people to see this. It feels like the culmination of something for us. He is a true artist and really captured what we believe is one of our best songs ever.

A lot of us were drowning from financial worries, relationship strains, media overwhelm, and social separation as a result of the pandemic. This song is a reminder to keep swimming up and eventually you’ll get that breath you need.”

Bassist Marc Battung adds:

“We kept our heads above water by continuing to focus on our passion of writing and producing new music. That’s our therapy. We had to learn how to do it remotely but in many ways, it opened up new possibilities for us.”

Guitarist John Arnold comments on the EP:

“This was the hardest we’ve ever worked but we’re so happy with the results and believe it is our best release yet. It’s the culmination of making songwriting our priority over the last few years and the development in our playing and listening as musicians and songwriters. We definitely see the growth in the songs and are so excited to share them with the world.”
