Back in September, Coal Chamber announced that they would be reforming for this year’s Australian Soundwave Festival. And this past weekend, the reunited nu-metal group performed their first shows together (including off dates with Marilyn Manson) in almost ten years.
However, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Coal Chamber down under. Drummer Mikey “Bug” Cox broke two of his fingers during the band’s set at Soundwave’s Brisbane stop. Singer Dez Fafara even posted a picture of the drummer’s injury via Twitter. Luckily, though, Cox is not expected to miss any of Coal Chamber’s remaining shows. And it’s looking likely that Coal Chamber have more dates in the works, especially after Fafara revealed plans to tour Mexico and South America this coming September.
Fan filmed footage of Coal Chamber’s first performances since reuniting have posted online. You can watch the band performing “Loco” during the festival’s Brisbane stop this past Saturday (February 25) above, while more footage (including from their off-date in Brisbane on February 24) can be seen after the jump.
