Boston’s Vanna will be releasing ALT, an EP of covers, on October 2nd, and it’s looking pretty ’90s. The band will  be releasing a track per week until the EP’s release, and the first one they’ve chosen to release is their take on Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People,” which they did via Revolver. It’s a pretty faithful cover of the song, if maybe a little screamier than the original. Here’ what vocalist Davey Muise says about the choice:

“One of the first songs and videos I was taken with–Manson’s lyrics and attention grabbing ways have always spoken to the anti-conformity in me, not to mention they made me start questioning what was put in front of me even as young as I was. My anthem for rebelling with a cause, and reason to wear black.”

And here’s the rest of the track listing, which as we said, is as ’90s as it gets:

1. Beautiful People (Marilyn Manson)
2. Self-Esteem (The Offspring)
3. Zero (Smashing Pumpkins)
4. Got The Life (Korn)
5. Fuel (Metallica)

ALT will be released on Pure Noise Records on 10/2.
