Sworn Enemy has released a lyric video for their new song “Prepare For Payback.” The video features the song’s lyrics splayed over live footage of the band.

Frontman Sal Lococo comments on the song:

“Prepare For Payback” just had that old Sworn Enemy feel to it. It was very angry and hard as fuck, and definitely could’ve been the opening track on ‘As Real As It Gets’.”

“Prepare For Payback” is the first single from the New York metal/hardcore band’s upcoming sixth studio album, Game Changer. The record is set to hit shelves on April 5 via M-Theory, which is also the follow-up to 2014’s Living on Borrowed Time. It was produced by Machine Head’s Robb Flynn with mixing, mastering and engineering done by Zack Ohren. This will also be the band’s first recording with new drummer Taykwuan Jackson.

Says Lococo of the album:

“The new album is savage as f***. Now it’s time to get back out on the road and show everyone how fucking great this new s*** is!”

Last year, Sworn Enemy celebrated the 15th anniversary of their full-length debut album, 2003’s As Real As It Gets.

To celebrate the release of ‘Game Changer,’ Sworn Enemy will be playing a special release show on April 26 at The Kingsland in Brooklyn, NY. Joining the band as support will be Mushmouth, Apparition, Dissent, Iron Price and Patterns of Decay. The band will also be playing an album release show in Brockton, MA on April 28 at Dylan’s with Palehorse, Scars of Deceit, Forgiveness Denied, Worlds Apart and Godtier. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
