There’s nothing wrong with Korn’s “Falling Away From Me” if you’re even a casual fan of the band. The song, taken from their 1999 album Issues, might be their finest moment. However, YouTuber Andy Rehfeldt has put his spin on the song via a smooth jazz version, and dare we say, it’s even better. The only thing intact are Jonathan Davis’ vocals. Backing them up, however, is a major key jazzy/easy listening version of the song that not only sounds ridiculous mashed up with the vocals, but looks amazing spliced with performances of the band playing the song at Rock Am Ring. It’s done perfectly, and makes us appreciate both Rehfeldt and Korn more. Metal Injection premiered it yesterday on their YouTube channel, and you’ll be a better person for listening to it today.
Back in 2010, we spoke to Rehfeldt about going viral. Great to see he’s still at it five years later!
