Sick New World 2024 in Las Vegas on April 27th was a success despite our thoughts on moving to a two-day event. Regardless, the response is still flowing today with performances by Slipknot, System of a Down, A Perfect Circle, Kittie, and more. We selected a handful of highlights to sum up Saturday’s event.
Slipknot party like it’s 1999:
Slipknot already shared a preview from their intimate show, which later presented themselves on the bigger stage at Sick New World, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their 1999 self-titled debut album.

System of A Down return to Sick New World
System of A Down were invited to headline Sick New World for the second consecutive year, marking the group’s return to the stage since last year’s performance. The band put on an extensive twenty-seven-song setlist, giving fans all the hits. Additionally, there have been reports that Daron Malakian dedicated “Lonely Day” to the late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison.
