A Perfect Circle made it to Sick New World without their gear:
A Perfect Circle pulled off their 2024 Sick New World set against all odds, thanks to the generosity of others. Weather delays left their gear stranded in Denver from their Sessanta Tour, but they delivered ten songs with borrowed equipment and help from technicians.
Howerdel shared the following on Instagram:
“Festival in Las Vegas was one for the books!
We are currently on the last remaining shows of our Sessanta Tour.
We are a well-oiled machine at this point and were excited to blaze but woke up yesterday morning to the news that our trucks could not get here from last nights show in Denver (Red Rocks) with our gear in time for the show. Snowstorms in the Rockies with road closures made it impossible.
As many of you know, a Perfect Circle’s sound is something we work hard to have a sonic, delicate nuance, but when you don’t have any of your gear, including soundboard, Guitars, amps, effects in ear monitors, keyboards and countless other necessary bits of gear, it was a herculean task to pull the show off.
The phone calls started at 8 AM contacting everyone we knew that could possibly make this show happen. From borrowing gear to other generous and talented technicians, we were able to pull it together with literally zero seconds to spare before walking on that stage yesterday.
I can’t thank you all enough, this was one of those times in life when people show their mettle. We appreciate you all!
Thank you to the Sick New World festival for having us and thank you to all in attendance for your support!
