As some metal fans know, there are two bands called Shining, both European. The Swedish one is an evil black metal band and the Norwegian one is an avant-garde jazz/metal hybrid that has a saxophonist. To further differentiate themselves, the Norwegian band recently performed on a cliff known as Trolltunga. Thankfully, no one appears to have fallen off, even though for some reason, they lay down at the edge of it. Somewhat frustrating is the fact that the video is short, and they’re only actually performing in a small portion of it. We’re assuming the whole performance will make its way online before too long.
The band’s seventh album will be released later this year on Spinefarm Records, their first on the label.
