On Sunday, Quicksand wrapped up a tour in support of their forthcoming album, Interiors. It wasn’t an easy tour for the band, coming back with one less member than they started with and finishing as a trio. However, it was triumphant, given their sold-out two night stand in New York and Brooklyn and their ability to play without a lead guitarist. The band’s first single, “Illuminant,” proved that the resurrected ’90s alt-rockers had lost none of the fire they’d had when they released their last album, 1995’s Manic Compression. And with Interiors coming out on November 10th, the and have released another track, “Cosmonauts.” It’s a little less ferocious than the last song, sounding not unlike Failure. However, it’s a more mature sound for the band, and while it’ll be instantly familiar to longtime fans of the band, could actually land them some mainstream radio airplay, which is something that’s eluded them on their previous two albums.

Interiors will be released on November 10th, and can be pre-ordered here.
