Preteen trio Unlocking The Truth to play Coachella, Warped Tour

Posted by on April 11, 2014

The last time we wrote about Unlocking the Truth, the three-piece were playing on the streets of Manhattan, which isn’t bad for kids that were 11 and 12 at the time. The instrumental trio, who essentially made their name by busking on the streets, have come a long way since then. In fact, tonight will find them onstage opening for Motörhead at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The three’s combined age is still nearly half Lemmy’s age. Tomorrow will find the African-American trio playing in front of an even more impressive audience – the main stage at Coachella. They’ll be playing the fest the following week as well. In addition, they’ll also be playing a handful of shows on the Warped Tour in July. And while the band’s debut album is a ways off, they’ve signed with industry vet Jolene Cherry’s The Cherry Party label.

Here are the dates the band will be playing starting tonight:

11        Los Angeles, CA         Club Nokia – supporting Motorhead
12        Indio, CA                     Coachella Music & Arts Festival
19        Indio, CA                     Coachella Music & Arts Festival

11        Camden, NJ               Susquehanna Bank Center
12        Wantagh, NY              Nikon at Jones Beach Amphitheater
13        Hartford, CT                Xfinity Theatre
15        Burgettstown, PA        First Niagara Pavilion
