Mötley Crüe have premiered a new music video for the classic song “Take Me To the Top.” The track is initially taken from the group’s debut album 1981’s Too Fast For Love. However, due to the success of their Netflix biopic The Dirt (read our collaborative review here),the band has shared a fresh visual representation of the song by combining footage from the film as well as original footage from nearly forty-years-ago.

Bassist Nikki Sixx explained:

“The original footage for this video was shot before we even had a record deal in 1981 and seeing it juxtaposed with the footage from the movie in 2019 is something I don’t think any of us ever saw coming. It’s been so exciting for the band to watch everyone celebrate the movie, music, and the band’s legacy.”

The soundtrack for The Dirt has consecutively hit our weekly Metal By Numbers column as this week, the soundtrack landed at #84 in charts with 1,275 sold.
