Metallica made history this past Sunday (6th) in Hollywood, Florida, at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. While the show is considered a more intimate setting with 7,000 seats versus selling out stadiums, those who managed to get a ticket were in for a once-in-a-lifetime dream event. A performance that proves Metallica will never forget their roots. The night, Kill ‘Em All For One, One More Time, honored the legacy of Megaforce Records founder Jon “Jonny Z” Zazula and his wife, Marsha Zazula. The emotional energy was intense that night as the three Zazula daughters proudly walked on stage to stand for their parents’ legacy.

Raven, signed initially to Megaforce Records, opened for Metallica, where James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich introduced the English heavy metal icons. A memorable night for sure, with a setlist one could only dream about happening, performing exclusively Kill ‘Em All and Ride The Lightning material with a few Garage Days surprises. We hope this performance makes its way to DVD, as these giants somehow continue to surprise us each year. Check out a few fan-filmed footage below and some highlights posted by Metallica themselves.
