Say what you will about Metallica’s material in recent years, but they’ve delivered some solid covers throughout their career. Last night, the band performed at the MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert in Los Angeles where one of the honorees was Ozzy Osbourne. The band played the following songs during an acoustic set:

1. “I Just Want To Celebrate” (Rare Earth)
2. “When A Blind Man Cries” (Deep Purple)
3. “In My Life” (The Beatles)
4. “Diary Of A Madman” (Ozzy Osbourne)

Metallica also commented on the concert:

“We are so proud to be a part of the tenth annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert . . . It’s no secret that Ozzy has been a major presence throughout our entire lives and we are so humbled and honored to be with Ozzy for this special evening.”
