With “Motherfucker” out already and “Superhero” coming soon, we’re starting to hear a little of what Faith No More’s Sol Invictus is going to sound like. And now we’ve got a third song, thanks to a show they just wrapped up as part of a two night stand in Tokyo at Shinkba Studio Coast. The song, which starts out slowly before erupting midway through, is presumably the third taste of the album, and according to the below tweet from keyboard player Roddy Bottum, it’s called “Cone of Shame.” After the immediacy of the first two songs we’ve heard, this one’s a bit of a slow burner, but once it kicks in, it totally redeems itself. If we hear more about it, like what it’s title is, we’ll update, but for now, enjoy.
tonight was the first performance of CONE OF SHAME. it felt good to do that in Tokyo to rectify the wreckage of last night's tumult. HUG.
