last in lineThese past few weeks have been rough with the passing of many artists, including former Dio and Rainbow bassist Jimmy Bain who passed away over the weekend.

While many know Bain for his role during his time with the previously mentioned bands, he was also part of Last in Line, a band comprised by former members of Dio including Vivian Campbell and Vinnie Appice along with singer Andrew Freeman. The band, who recently performed with Bain at the pre-cruise show for Def Leppard Cruise ‘Hysteria on the High Sea,’ decided to release two videos in memory of the late bassist, a lyric video for “Blame it on Me,” and a music video for “Starmaker.”

Vivian Campbell stated yesterday in a statement on his social media:

“It’s with the heaviest of hearts that I must confirm the news of the passing of our dear friend and Last In Line band-mate, Jimmy Bain. It was Jimmy who gave me my first big break in the music industry and for that I am forever indebted. Jimmy was immensely proud of our new album and his input to it was immeasurable. We will continue to celebrate his life through his music. On behalf of Vinny and Andrew, our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this most difficult of times. Rest in peace, dear friend.”

Both tracks are part of Last in Line’s debut album Heavy Crown, set to be released on February 19th via Frontier Music and can be pre-ordered here and here. The track listing for the record will be as follows:

1.     Devil In Me

2.     Martyr
