We’ve known for a while that Behemoth’s Nergal would be releasing a folky, bluesy album under the name Me and That Man. After hearing (and seeing the video for) “My Church Is Black,” it became apparent that while the lyrical content isn’t drastically changed from Behemoth, the sound certainly was. Sounding like a whiskey-soaked combination between Nick Cave, Johnny Cash and Mark Lanegan, today the project released another track. “Ain’t Much Loving” features electric guitar, but only when it comes in as a solo. The rest of the song sounds like Danzig at maximum Elvis. The slow-building song is haunting.

Songs of Love and Death will be released on March 24th on Cooking Vinyl, and can be preordered here.
