ghostpinnacleGhost’s image is arguably as important as their music, which means that when they put out a music video, it’s a given that it’s going to be a good one. Today the band released a video for “From the Pinnacle to the Pit,” and it certainly delivers. The sepia-toned video appears to be inspired by Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and other silent films from the 20s. The Zev Deans-directed video is the second video from their top 10 album Meliora, following “Cirice.” Like the last video, it starts in a school, but that’s where the similarities end. Essentially, it shows a boy that could be Papa Emeritus III’s grandPapa becoming a Papa, a time-honored tradition that apparently involves being drugged and ascending a skyscraper.

The band’s North American tour starts next week. You can catch those dates here.
