Ghost know how to launch an album, that’s for sure. While we were the first to write about their late night ad, we know now that Meliora will be released on August 21st on Loma Vista Records. The album is available for pre-order today, and with that, they’ve also announced a headlining tour, called ‘Black To the Future,’  that will kick off in September with UK band Purson as support. While viewers of the TV ad saw that Philadelphia and September 26th were highlighted, now we know why. For the band’s show at Philly’s Union Transfer, a friend of R5 promoter Sean Agnew forwarded us the following image on his Facebook page essentially making it a Pope-off. Pope Francis will be appearing in Philly on the same day. What’s the band have up their robes? We’ll have to wait to find out, but out of all the tour dates, this could be the one to go to.
