Got 20 minutes of your life to spare that you won’t get back? It’s about the time of year where the infomercial for the Gathering of the Juggalos pops up, and yesterday, indeed the ad that inspired Saturday Night Live‘s “Kickspit Underground Music Festival” skits was released. The festival, this year taking place from July 22-25 in Thornville, OH, has added a healthy metal lineup this year. They always throw a few heavier bands in, but this year, Emmure, In This Moment, Mushroomhead, King 810, Ill Nino, Neurotic November are among the bands. They even threw a few more controversial bands in the mix. Terror Universal, a masked band that just replaced their singer after he assaulted Otep, are on the bill. So is Puddle of Mudd, whose singer Wes Scantlin is better known for his offstage antics than his onstage ones, is playing as well. Of course, the typical acts that always play, like Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Twiztid, and Kottonmouth Kings, will be playing. So if you’re looking for a white trash holiday, you’ve found it. If you’re down with the clown, you can get tickets here.
