To say that Exodus’ new album, Blood in, Blood Out, is anticipated might be an understatement. The album, due on October 14th on Nuclear Blast, will feature Steve Souza on vocals, rejoining the band after nine years with Rob Dukes on vocal duties.. While the title track, which a lyric video debuted for on Billboard today, sounds like it might be an autobiographical one about the lineup change, Gary Holt tells the magazine that the song was written when Rob was still in the band. The song’s pretty solid, even if it doesn’t feature former member Kirk Hammett on it like “Salt the Wound” does. Either way, it’s a nice return to form musically and a literal return for Souza, who spoke to us about rejoining the band earlier this year.. If you’re interested in the singer’s favorite Bay-Area metal bands, check out his list here.
