Epica have officially entered the studio to record the follow-up to 2016’s Holographic Principle. The group are working on their eighth effort at Sandlane Recording Facilities with producer Joost van den Broek (Powerwolf, Ayreon). The record is scheduled to arrive sometime this fall via Nuclear Blast.

Vocalist Simone Simons comments:

“Welcome to the behind the scenes of the making of EPICA 8. In this first video, we are working hard on the pre-production of our new album, making sure all details are perfect. As always, it was a pleasure to spend time with the band and Joost. I am so happy with how the songs evolved and can’t wait for you all to hear them!”
