Deftones release trippy video for “Prayers/Triangles”

deftonesvidAs you already know if you’ve been reading Metal Insider for the past week, Deftones released their eighth album, Gore, this past Friday (8). They’ve also released a video for “Prayers/Triangles,” one of the song that they’d released in advance of the album. It’s a really awesome looking video, and while there are some performance elements of the band, they’re all features playing as silhouettes, playing against a backdrop of colored smoke. It’s extremely colorful, and there are triangles involved as well. There’s also some black and white footage of frontman Chino Moreno running around a neighborhood. The band didn’t particularly enjoy filming the video, but the end result is as haunting as the song. Noisey premiered the video, which you can see below. And don’t forget you can see the band tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
