We were all over the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest this past weekend, as you know if you were there – or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. And while Between the Buried and Me’s Dan Briggs promised something special at the Fest when we interviewed him, we didn’t know what it was until we heard them soundchecking Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” shortly before doors opened on Friday. Seeing and hearing them play the classic song while watching from the balcony of an empty Palladium was awe-inspiring, and to paraphrase the song, sent shivers down our spine. Someone was enterprising enough to record it later that night, and here it is, or at least most of it.  Note the awesome Queen II-inspired band picture. It’s not like BTBAM haven’t covered Queen before, but to tackle such an ambitious song and knock it out of the park was inspirational and set the bar high for the rest of the weekend.
