Behemoth has just released a video for “Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer,” from their latest album, The Satanist. The lyrics for this song were written by frontman Nergal and poet Krzysztof Azarewicz, who contributed to two other songs on the album.

The lyric video, released back in January, attempts to explain the meaning of the song.

‘Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer’ is the antimony of a fallen protagonist, torn between the holy and murderous, possessing both power and fragility, a being abrupt and render at the same time, contradictory on the innermost level… yet complementary. My progatonis is the pendulum swinging between these extremes – unceasingly propelled by the powers they release, harvesting the momentum of their jolly dances. Lack of inner drama, lack of inhibition against falling in love with the volatile relieves me from consistency and allows an obliteration of extablished moral and social behavior patters. E viva l’arte! Viva Blasfemia!

In addition to releasing their 10th studio album this year, Behemoth put out Xiadz in November, a vinyl-only 12″ EP.
