In one week, the long-awaited 10th album from Behemoth, The Satanist, will be in stores. And while we’ve already had a chance to take in the dark, amazingly shot and even better-sounding “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel,” the band have released a second song and accompanying lyric video. As you might imagine, the song’s about Satan. From the video:
‘Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer’ is the antimony of a fallen protagonist, torn between the holy and murderous, possessing both power and fragility, a being abrupt and render at the same time, contradictory on the innermost level… yet complementary. My progatonis is the pendulum swinging between these extremes – unceasingly propelled by the powers they release, harvesting the momentum of their jolly dances. Lack of inner drama, lack of inhibition against falling in love with the volatile relieves me from consistency and allows an obliteration of extablished moral and social behavior patters. E viva l’arte! Viva Blasfemia!
Sure! Well anyway, the song’s pretty awesome, faster than “Gabriel,” and more brutal. Check it out, then pick up The Satanist next week on Metal Blade.
