Last month, As I Lay Dying played their first show in five years. Prior to their performance at the SOMA Sidestage in San Diego, CA, the group shared a discussion video explaining their controversial return. It was back in 2013 when frontman Tim Lambesis was arrested for attempting to hire a hitman to have his wife killed. The singer pleaded guilty in 2014 and by December of 2016, he was released from prison. Lambesis has since apologized for his actions, and the band has moved forward with creating new music.
The group has now unveiled a behind the scenes recap of their first performance since 2013.
The band expressed their gratitude, stating:
“We are thankful for an environment of love and positivity within and around our renewed relationships. To the family, friends, crew, and fans in attendance at our recent San Diego show, we would like to express our deepest sense of gratitude for making the evening a meaningful experience.”
