Yesterday, we heard the unfortunate news that recently-reunited ’80s legends Grim Reaper were forced to cancel their current tour dates after frontman Steve Grimmett took ill. The singer’s wife Millie filled fans in via their Facebook page that he had an unspecified foot/bone infection that needed to be operated on, and he would have to have his leg removed. Earlier today, she gave an update on his condition, stating that his right leg was amputated below the knee.

It’s unfortunate that this happened to Grimmett, but the fact that he’s able to laugh and joke means that he’s got the right attitude about it. While he might be missing part of a leg, he’ll still be able to sing, and with prosthetics the way they are now, after some rehab, he could be back on the road in no time.
