We’re finding out a little more in the wake of Marilyn Manson’s injury last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. Bandmate Tyler Bates stated via Instagram that the tour was “on pause for a minute,” but that Manson would be back soon. The caption accompanied an image of a plane, suggesting that Bates was headed back home.

Also, a photo has surfaced of Manson being led out on a stretcher. While you can see that he appears to be in pain, there aren’t any easily discernable injuries (blood, something obviously broken, etc.) from the picture. There’s no word yet on how long the tour will be on hold. While some initially assumed that after he “broke his ankle” the previous night that this might be a hoax, it quickly became apparent to those in the crowd that this was more serious. With a new album out on Friday, cancelling show dates less than a week into your tour proves that this isn’t a cynical marketing ploy.
