We all know about the tragic death of former After The Burial Justin Lowe earlier this week and, as naturally expected, the band and family have kept to themselves during this difficult time and the last thing it may be crossing their minds is addressing the media or the public in general, but Lowe’s sister, who originally reported about his disappearance, has made a short statement about his brother’s passing.

She took to Facebook to post a short but touching paragraph regarding his brother, and says the late musician was receiving professional treatment after his paranoid episode late last month:

Justin was a gifted musician, music producer and photographer. He was also a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many in the music community.

The world lost an amazing talent. He touched many lives.

He was receiving professional help and we thought he was making progress. We are devastated and heartbroken at his passing. We will miss him forever.

Please respect our request for privacy as we try to cope with this tragedy. I will be logging off Facebook for a period of time to allow myself to grieve with my family. Thank you again for everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and concerns.

The band has not made any statement, aside from their drummer Dan Carle, who said just a few words about the news on his Facebook page.
