When Duff McKagan left Guns N’ Roses back in 1997, the band got a replacement bassist. Or rather a Replacement bassist, as Tommy Stinson had been playing for the band since. However, with the Replacements reforming to play some shows, including Coachella, Guns N’ Roses tapped their former bassist to play some shows in South America. Now it looks like Duff will be rejoining the band Stateside for their performance on Wednesday at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. It will be somewhat fitting to see McKagan back onstage with Axl and friends in Los Angeles, the city that spawned GN’R.

It’s not the only late-breaking announcement for the Golden Gods. Suicide Silence will be playing at the awards show as well, and will also be joined by Max Cavalera. It will also mark their first performance with new vocalist Eddie Hermida in America. The show will be simulcast on VH1.com and their mobile app. A 90-minute abridged version of the awards will air on May 24 on VH1 Classic.
