Honestly, we’re still processing the tragic and shocking news of the passing of Soundgarden and Audioslave icon, Chris Cornell. According to the Detroit police, his death is currently being investigated as a suicide. Earlier this morning (18) TMZ  reported Cornell’s wife Vicky Cornell spoke with him during soundcheck before the show and showed no signs of being suicidal or depressed. Vicky tried to reach out to Cornell in his hotel room and after the show and was not answering, she asked someone to call hotel security and soon enough Cornell’s body was discovered. Cornell was a father of three kids, ages 16, 12, and 11 and Vicky believed he was devoted to them and would never take his own life. Detroit law enforcement is stating otherwise, making us wonder what really happened.

According to CNN and Setlist.fm, Soundgarden closed out last night’s show at Detroit’s Fox Theater with Badmotorfinger‘s “Slaves and Bulldozers,” during which they played the refrain of Led Zeppelin’s “In My Time of Dying.”
