While Alaska put prog-metallers Between the Buried and Me on the map, it was their 2007 album Colors that really got people excited about them and proved them as a band to watch. When we spoke to bassist Dan Briggs back in 2015, we asked him about the 10th anniversary of 2005’s Alaska, which was the year he joined the band. While he said that was an important landmark, he was more excited about the 10th anniversary of Colors:

I think Colors is more of a landmark that we’ll actually celebrate. We’re not going to play Alaska in its entirety or anything like that. In 2017, you can definitely expect us to do Colors.

So it should come as no surprise that Briggs reiterated what he told us two years ago when being interviewed by That Drummer Guy recently. He says that the tour will be this fall, and they’ll play the album in it’s entirety.
