axl slash throneYesterday, hours before Guns N’ Roses were about to play the first of two nights at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile arena, Axl Rose revealed that he had broken his foot during the intimate show at The Troubadour last week. While many wondered how this might affect the “classic” lineup’s upcoming summer tour, some also joked that Rose could simply just borrow Dave Grohl’s custom “throne” he used during the Foo Fighter’s tour last summer after also breaking his leg. Turns out, that’s just what Rose did.

During last night’s show, Rose performed upon a throne that looked almost identical to the one Grohl used. Rose reportedly confirmed that Grohl indeed had lent him the throne while introducing “Rocket Queen”, saying “I wanna thank Dave Grohl for this; it was very nice of him. I’ve got nothing to do with this.” So once again, Grohl flies in to save the day, once again proving why he’s the most beloved guy in rock. It’s unclear how long Rose will be using the throne, but he’s reportedly not supposed to walk on the broken foot for at least another four weeks. So chances are the throne will make a cameo at Coachella.

As for the rest of the show, Guns N’ Roses expanded its setlist from The Troubadour to include a few more Use Your Illusion era songs, as well as some more covers and even Chinese Democracy songs. Chances are this will be a similar setlist to what the band performs tonight in Las Vegas, as well as for the rest of the tour. Fan filmed footage of the show, along with the setlist, can be seen below. Meanwhile, the band also posted their own video recap of The Troubadour show online.
