As the world continues to adjust to the new realities from Friday’s terror attacks in Paris, all 129 of the victims so far have been identified. We know that three Universal Records France employees attending the Eagles of Death Metal show were killed, including Thomas Ayad, an international product manager. Among the bands he worked with were Metallica and Rammstein, who both remembered him in separate Facebook posts. Ayad was only 32, but made enough of an impression on Metallica that they considered him “a fan, a friend… and a warm, helpful supportive familiar face each time we visited France.” In addition to sharing their memories, Metallica also shared a picture of Hetfield with Ayad from 2011 when they performed with Lou Reed on French TV show Taratara. Rammstein also extended their condolences to Ayad.
