While on a short run of tour dates in Brazil, Vital Remains vocalist Brian Werner got hurt late last week at a show in Santiago, Chile. From the band’s official Facebook page:
“Not sure Vital Fans heard but our Singer Brian Werner broke two ribs in Chile on our last night of our South American Tour. He is a Warrior,broke two ribs and still finish the show like a champ!”
In a video from the hospital, the injured Werner boasted about finishing the show, saying:
“This quitting, canceling show bullshit, save that for these pop f*ggots who don’t even play their own fucking music.”
Werner is the same guy who came up with the “Trayvon” shirt last summer, later admitting it was a “total joke idea.” Maybe he was also joking when using homophobic slurs in the video as well?
