The maiden voyage of Motörhead’s Motörboat is already looking to be a metalhead’s trip of a lifetime. Billed as “The Loudest Boat in the World,” featuring metal giants Megadeth, Motörhead, and Anthrax, it was certainly looking to live up to its name. With yesterday’s announcement of additions to the line-up, this boat has gotten even louder. The Motörboat is set to take off from Miami and travel to both Key West and Cozumel, Mexico over the course of September 22-26.

Already featuring such acts as Megadeth, Motörhead, Anthrax, Black Label Society, Jim Breuer, Danko Jones, Fireball Ministry, and Wilson, “The Loudest Boat in the World” is only going to get louder with the additions of Testament, Down, High On Fire and Kill Devil Hill (ft. Rex Brown) to the bill. Even former Testament drummer John Tempesta is looking to spend his 50th birthday onboard, and is hinting at doing a song with the band, if anything can be taken from his recent Facebook post. And given the fact that two former Pantera members and Zakk Wylde will be on board, and have been jamming together as of late, who knows what might happen?

Tickets for the cruise can be purchased here.

As metal seems to constantly grow, the idea of these types of themed cruises appear to be as well. The Mayhem Festival cruise sadly never came to fruition, but it’s been working for Sabaton, so why not Motörhead? What are your thoughts about heavy metal cruises? Let us know in the comments below.
