While all eyes are still on the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony this April, Guns N’ Roses fans have another thing to look forward to this Spring: a new album from Slash. The guitarist has revealed the cover artwork for his sophomore album Apocalyptic Love. It’s also been confirmed that the album will be released on May 22 via Slash’s own label Dik Hayd International (which is being distributed through EMI).

We have to admit that we were relatively surprised by Slash’s self-titled debut. Nothing against Slash, but recording with numerous singers had the potential to (dare we say) come off as cheesy. Instead, the album included a lot of enjoyable hard rock songs. Even the track with Fergie was pretty good (as awkward as the video was). However, this time around, Slash only worked with Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy (who also sang in Slash’s touring band).

While we have yet to hear any full songs from the new album, Slash has been teasing fans with a series of webisodes. And chances are we’ll get to hear some new material during Slash’s upcoming U.S. tour. You can watch the webisodes highlighting the album’s recording process, as well as tour dates, after the jump.
