Norwegian black metallers Satyricon have announced that they will embark on “one final headlining tour” for North America. It’s been nine years since they appeared on this side of the Atlantic as the group admitted touring in this area has been difficult for them. However, they will have one last run and Inquisition is joining them for the trek. While Slayer announced that they will have a farewell tour, this doesn’t necessarily mean farewell to Satyricon just yet.

Vocalist/guitarist Sigurd “Satyr” Wongraven commented:

“We are excited to announce that we will be touring in the US and Canada. As our U.S fans will have noticed, we haven’t toured there in nine years. There are many reasons for that. I like America and I like Americans, but unfortunately touring there has been a difficult chapter in the history of Satyricon. I can’t guarantee what the future holds, but we did not go on the last record, so I am hoping that one final headlining tour can be a good way of sharing some electric musical moments with our U.S fans, whom we love just as much as all our other fans across the world. See you all soon. – SW”
