Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have expanded their highly anticipatedFifty Something tour after an overwhelming demand. The trek is set for the summer of 2026, marking their return to the stage in eleven years. The newly added dates include stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Toronto, Fort Worth, and Cleveland. The tour will be a celebration of the band’s legacy and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. German drummer Anika Nilles, known for touring with Jeff Beck in 2022, will join Lee and Lifeson behind the kit.
On Thursday (9th), Nilles, 42, shared her first statement on social media since being chosen to honor Peart’s legacy:
“I want to take a moment to sincerely thank Geddy and Alex for their trust and for welcoming me on this incredible new journey with RUSH. I also don’t want to miss the chance to warmly welcome all the new faces here and to thank you for your kind and open-minded words — they truly mean a lot. At the same time, I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has followed and supported my journey over the years. We’re all in this together now, and I couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead.”
