Some of our readers are devoted to wish for the greater good and even pray to a higher being to make things right in the world. Today, those prayers were certainly answered because Canada’s favorite rock icons, Nickelback, have cancelled their North American tour, saving an entire generation from a terrible fate.

This past weekend, singer frontman, Chad Kroeger, had some complications which turned into the development of an operable cyst on his vocal box. Kroeger stated the following:

“I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans, I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.”

The surgery is scheduled to be performed in about three weeks from today, with expectancy of a full recovery for the European leg of the No Fixed Address tour, meaning the band will not play in North America until next year! Praise Cthulhu! You can also pop a beer and watch the video below where Ryan Peake and Mike Kroeger explain the situation and apologize to the 32 fans disappointed by the news.

If your girlfriend was forcing you to go to any of the following dates, you can get your money back at the point of purchase and use that time to celebrate the day you were saved by a cyst:

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
