Way back in March we heard that the new Danzig album was, “tentatively scheduled for Late 2015 or Early 2016 release,” and judging from a recent interview with Noisey, Glenn Danzig seems to assure us that it’s right on schedule

Said Danzig,

“The covers record I’ve been working on for a while, but the last new Danzig material came out in 2010. The new record is about three-quarters done, and by the time that comes out it’ll have been probably about six years since the last time you heard any new original Danzig material. Not a covers record or not this Danzig Sings Elvis record, so it’ll be six years.”

That covers record he mentions is Skeletons, and that comes out this Friday on Nuclear Blast. The mighty Danzig has kept busy this year, having recently wrapped up the Blackest of the Black tour with Superjoint and Prong. He might be slowing down, however, since he told LoudWire last month, “I don’t think I’m going to tour anymore.”
