New Black Dahlia Murder will approach “maniacal speeds”

Posted by on June 11, 2015

The Black Dahlia Murder have announced Abysmal as their next studio album, due out September 18th on Metal Blade Records. This is their seventh full length (all with Metal Blade), and according to founding vocalist Trevor Strnad, the band is showing no signs of slowing down.

Said Strnad,

“You speed freaks can also thank the ungodly contribution of our young skinsman Alan Cassidy, as the new album sees us approaching maniacal speeds unseen before in the TBDM catalog.”

This will be the second studio album for Cassidy, who replaced drummer Shannon Lucas back in 2012 in the middle of tour. The band is gearing up for an Australian tour next week with Psycroptic and Colossvs, followed by a 14 date romp across Europe in July.
