Metallica playing New York’s Webster Hall this Tuesday

For those New Yorkers not able to attend the Global Citizen event that were at home watching it on the live stream, you might have noticed something different on New York mainstay Webster Hall’s event calendar if you were to look at it. There was nothing scheduled for September 27th in their main Grand Ballroom, yet two events Jay IDK and Wednesday 13 appear to have suddenly been double booked at the Studio. For those that do not know, New York City’s Webster Hall has three venues in one.

The moment Metallica walked off the stage for Global Citizen, I refreshed Webster Hall’s page and at 6:45 PM a new event was added for Tuesday September 27th at Webster Hall’s Grand Ballroom. Metallica is my number one favorite band; they are what got me into metal and I just could not stomach going to see Metallica open for Rihanna at Global Citizen. However, this new event is for the fifth members only of Metallica, which means you have to be a MetClub member to enter the contest to win a chance to purchase tickets. Proceeds from the $25 tickets will go to City Harvest. It is surreal, and right now “Nothing Else Matters” for me but to try to do what I can to see them on Tuesday! Good luck, may the best fan win. Here’s what the band said:
