By all accounts, Machine Head’s tour behind Catharsis is going really well. Last Friday’s show sold out New York’s Playstation Theater, and the evening with format is going over great. However, maybe that’s a little too much singing for Robb Flynn. Last night’s show in Pittsburgh ended after only six songs, as Flynn said that he had a lung infection, and while he tried to play through it, he couldn’t continue. As a result, tonight’s show in Cleveland has been postponed, with the band hoping to reschedule it towards the end of their tour. Always one to address everything heads on, Flynn posted a video apologizing for having to cut the show short.
Unfortunately, there are still over two weeks of tour dates that have to happen. This is totally conjecture on our part, but we wouldn’t be super surprised to see them postpone tomorrow’s show in Detroit, either, because at least they’ve have until the 20th for him to recuperate. Here are the remaining tour dates:
2/17 – Detroit, MI @ Majestic
2/20 – Des Moines, IA @ Woolys
2/21 – Madison, WI @ Majestic
2/22 – Minneapolis, MN @ First Avenue
