korntourLast year was Korn’s 20th anniversary of their debut, self-titled album that not only put them on the map, but essentially ushered in the nu-metal era. The band celebrated the milestone by… well, not doing much of anything. Granted, since the album wasn’t released until October of 1994, it took a while for it to catch on, which really didn’t happen until 1995. At any rate, with the album getting close to drinking age, the band have decided to dust it off and play it in its entirety, which they did for the first time back in March. Now they’ll be doing a proper tour with the album as the centerpiece. Suicide Silence and Islander will be supporting.

There will be a pre-sale tomorrow (22) at 10am local time on the band’s website. Until then, if you want to bring yourself up to speed on what recording the album was like, Rolling Stone did a solid oral history of the album.
