It’s a shame that Deicide’s 11th album, In the Minds of Evil, isn’t coming out one month later than it’s release date, which is November 25th. It’d be sweet irony to have the deeply Satanic band’s album released on Christmas Day. In fact, the band’s mastermind, Glen Benton, is quoted in the press release saying “Do you hear that? It’s the sound of Satan singing along to the new Deicide!” He also described the album as “King Kong taking a shit on a daisy.” So yeah, someone transcribed that.
At any rate, the band has unveiled the album artwork, and it’s pretty great. The artwork, taken from a painting from Australian artist Simon Cowell (probably not the X Factor host) called “Power of the Mind” shows a demonic looking spirit/ghost controlling a zombie-like person. It’s creepy as fuck, and one of the best album covers we’ve seen in a while. The band will be on tour starting early next month with Broken Hope, Disgorge and Necronomicon.
