It’s only been about 14 months since Deafheaven released New Bermuda. And in that time, they’ve gotten to do some pretty diverse touring, jumping on a headlining tour last year in support of the album, then opening for Lamb of God and Anthrax earlier this year, then joining Carcass for a just-concluded run. They’ve also gotten to play some festivals, and from seeing that they’re included at Rock on the Range’s lineup, it looks like that’s something they’ll continue to do next year. So while many metal fans have gotten the opportunity to see them, they’re equally adept at shoegaze, which they’ll get a chance to showcase on their just-announced 2017 tour.
The band have announced that they’ll be touring with Texas post-rock band This Will Destroy You and singer-songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle. It’s definitely a little more diverse of a lineup than the touring that they’ve done this year. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (12/2). Here’s where the tour will be hitting:
